What to Bring on Your Surfing Holiday


In addition to your basic tropical attire, here are some suggestions that will come in handy on the trip:

Spare sunglasses, sun cream , good hat, surfing hat, plenty of warm water wax, spare leg ropes, rashey, booties.

2 boards are definitely desirable for varying conditions and if you’re unlucky enough to bust up one of your sticks, you’ve got a spare.  FINS!! Spare ones. Fin keys. Ding repair kit also an essential!

Your Surfing Holiday Requires Comprehensive Travel insurance!


Please ensure that you have made adequate plans for your travel insurance needs. We require that you are fully covered for any major accident or injuries sustained while on board the Indocean. We at The Indocean want you to get the most out of your surfing holiday but we do not take responsibility for your insurance cover.  Rest assured, we will at all times endeavor to put your safety first in any circumstances, but arranging adequate insurance cover is your responsibility.

Medical


Reef grazes are common. Please bring your own antiseptics, anti-inflammatory tablets, band-aids, painkillers and a course of antibiotics. The Indocean is fully equipped with a comprehensive first aid kit however, it is for serious injuries foremost.  We want you to be able to get the most out of your surfing holiday so come prepared!

Malaria


Malaria is still active in the island of Sumbawa, but you are generally very safe. At anchor you will not be bitten. Bali has a tropical climate with temperatures averaging 30ºC all year round.
Wet Season: October – April, high humidity expected during these months
Dry Season: May – September, Low humidity expected during these months
